This Perfect Fit kit has been engineered for Audi A3 (8P facelift 2006-2013) vehicles with factory fitted rear amplified sound systems, and who wish to retain full steering wheel audio control functionality when upgrading to the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT. The CANbus interface cable converts the Audi Quadlock to ISO, generating necessary signals such as key-present ignition, while allowing the rear amplified speakers to remain in use. The included Pioneer patch connects the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT to the steering wheel control adapter.
To complete the fit, the bespoke 9-inch fascia panel is custom-made to match the A3’s facelift dashboard, holding the larger screen securely while preserving the OEM appearance. The aerial adapter cable with phantom power enables compatibility with the factory-amplified antenna system. Together, these parts offer a solution that maintains sound quality, retains factory steering wheel controls, and delivers modern functionality via the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT.

PLEASE NOTE: These fitting kits are designed specifically for Pioneer 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos, such as the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT. They are not compatible with standard 2-DIN 7-inch stereos or other head units.This head unit fitting kit includes:

Double Fakra to DIN aerial adapter (Phantom Power) with Bullet connector

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable with 12v phantom power from a male bullet connection. This antenna adapter cable adapts from the original Double Fakra connector in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket radio DIN antenna connection for the fitting of a stereo upgrade.

Audi Quadlock CAN steering wheel control interface and audio adapter cable for rear amplified cars

This cable adapts from the original connector in the car, known as a quadlock, to standard aftermarket connectors for the new stereo, known as ISO connectors. The CANbus steering wheel control interface will retain the use of the original radio controls on the steering wheel with an aftermarket stereo. The CANbus interface generates a key present ignition supply to the new stereo, this means the stereo will turn on with the first click of the key and stay on until the key is removed from the ignition barrel. The interface also generates speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake output signals, these are used when installing multimedia, navigation units and reverse cameras. This interface is built into the Quadlock to ISO harness adapter.

The Quadlock to ISO cable also has a built in high to low level adapter for the rear amplified speakers. The adapter allows the new stereo to work with the original factory rear speakers. The high to low level adapter gives a much cleaner audio signal to the amplifier compared to using line output phono leads.
